3rd moment: Abstraction of colors for greater emphasis on matter. From concrete to colorful glazes.
“Maioba”, the series of the artist’s pictures that connects to her childhood, is where she looks for the depths of matter. Yolanda concentrates her attention on this third moment, on the density of ink, the movements and the textures. She wants to be the instrument that enables the matter to speak out. Makes exhibitions “Reds”, “In White”, “Empty Line”, “The Banquet”, “Time and Matter”. In a clear and constant movement, she looks for that matter through textures and shapes. Which is evident through the use of concrete that she utilizes to sculpt walls and diverse objects in concoction with different materials.
